Paper Dress

I was so inspired by the DCWV display at the CHA booth in California a few months ago that I decided to make my own mini version of the huge designer "paper collection" dresses that they had created in their booth. It was very easy to make either using a huge scalloped punch to make multiple circles or you can use your Cricut machine to make circles or any shape you desire...even leaves. All you need to do is buy an inexpensive pretty frame (mine was from Michael's on sale) then cover it with some felt so there is a base, then start either gluing the circles in rows or use can use strong glue dots. Embellish as you like with ribbons, pearls, sequins, crystals, lace , feathers etc., and enjoy.

  1. This would be a cute way to use of scraps of paper. I could see doing this in shades of white and ivory for a centerpiece at a Bridal Shower.

Where did you find the dress form?

  2. The dress form was on sale @ Michael's (end of Spring). I was thinking of doing them as centerpieces for a charity fashion show with each table a different color. FUN!
